A couple of "What is it's", I'm sure someone can help me with.

I recently had the pleasure of being hired to empty out a house after an elderly woman retired to Florida, and left MANY things behind. I was told take whatever I wanted, and fill that dumpster with the rest!!! I found everything from a couple of pieces of antique furniture, to Dollhouse miniatures, to dozens of old postcards many of which were used back in the late teens - early twenties (some not used yet), Old books, newspapers ( I remember seeing the paper announcing Woodrow Wilson's death on the front page), Silverware (about half junk, but the other half real silver!), Some China plates, Greeting cards (xmas, birthday, easter, etc. mostly all used, but mostly 1920's - 30's)
Dozens of letters which I saved all the envelopes for the stamps, Scrapbooks and photo's back to the late 1800's! Basically, she was a packrat!!! (my favorite kind!!!) So, I'm sure I'll be listing more than a few things here, to learn more about them. my first item is obviously a wallet or purse, but I'm thinking there is a specific name for it which I'd like to find out, to do more research on it. The second thing is what I believe to be a childs musical instrument, similar to an accordian, you pull and push on the two sides, and there is a bellows between them that makes a pleasant sound through the center piece on the Donkey's side under the handle. Unfortunately this item has a lot of rust on it, but it does play. The wallet is in excellent condition, not sure what it is made of, possibly silver plated brass? or plated nickel silver? Thanks in advance for your help.

Woo Hoo ;D
Oh to be handed such a Treasure Trove :o
To Me, both those items say 1920-1930's - but I'm no expert.
That would fit with the dated cards you have found.
Now, where's the rest of the Trove?? :icon_pirat:

The Childs Squeeze box is post WW2 ,if I remember correctly the made in japan was used after the war , prior to ww2 all imports were to be marked with countrys name only. So lets say 1945 - 1950 ish

I had a cup and saucer labeled "Occupied Japan." Unfortunately, it bit the dust... or rather the floor. Yes, Made in Japan would have been post-WWII, 50's, probably.
