A Couple of Unknowns

Hello All. I found these yesterday at an old home site. The "Price" item is brass, 3-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 3/8 inches, and the spike looking thing is iron with a lead end on it.

Bottom one is copper, not lead, and is an old soldering iron.
The top piece might be from a scale?

Agree with vhs07, the end has been 'tinned' to solder.
