Hey everyone,

Today I hunted the grounds of an abandoned school that dates to the 1920s at the earliest; I've been to this site a few times and most of what turns up is 1940-1970. I pulled two little pieces of jewelry today, neither of which is valuable, but I was curious anyway once I got them cleaned up. Unfortunately my sleuthing produced no information on either one.

The first is a basic (maybe, but probably not sterling) ring. Unfortunately whatever stone it once held is missing. The hallmark looks like an omega with an arrow through it, or possibly a stylized 'U'. Every Google search I tried led me to the Uncas Manufacturing Company. However, if indeed it is a 'U," the arrow is facing the wrong direction for the Uncas mark, and the letter itself looks more stylized than theirs (which is why I think it might be an omega and therefore my photo is actually upside-down).

The second piece is a little art-deco style charm that reads "Jewel Box" on the back. There is also a smaller word perpendicular to this, which looks like "Chaney" or "Haney" but the first part of the word is illegible.

There have been some awesome finds on Tnet lately, and these little items are infinitely boring by comparison, but I'm just wondering if anybody recognizes either one. Thanks!

-Andrew

Yep. Kinney school charm.
Would be nice to find the other piece and match it up to the school you're looking at.

Awesome! You guys are spot on. Guess I know where I'm starting the next time I hit that site.
