Here's a couple of pieces that I picked up recently that will go in my keeper frame. The Agate Basin was found by Harry Mills near Aledo in Mercer County, IL which is about 30 miles from my house. The Dalton was found by a friend of mine near in Henry County, Illinois on a field we hunted together. It won best personal find at the 1996 Hawkeye State Arch. Society's Davenport Show. I've been looking for a nice hornstone dove for quite a while and I was excited about getting this piece. It's an ex-LaDassor piece with just a hint of a bullseye in it. The Agate is 4.5" long, the dalton is 4.75" long and the dove is 3.5" long for reference.

Merry Christmas to everyone and hopefully you and your families have a great, healthy, and safe holiday season. We're getting about 7" of new snow today which is kind of putting me in the Christmas spirit.

Some very fine looking flint. That agate looks like a great one, I've got a few new pieces that I'm going to post in a couple of days. I'm also working on a 2010 picture but it is taking a little longer then I thought. Congrats on the new points, have a great weekend
