First, I detected a different part of a park I've been to several times. There were plenty of targets to dig. An enormous pile of foil, tabs and trash went in the can and I ended up with $11.66 in clad, a key, an aluminum pipe part and a junker earring.

Next, I needed a break from park hunting so I drove to a place I had found researching a couple of weeks ago. It's a small beach area on the river that doesn't seem to get used anymore. There were lots of old beaver tail pull tabs visible on the surface. My first target was a '64 dime! My second target came up a steady 32, typical of a pull tab missing the tail. I dug it anyway, as I always do, and BLAM, up pops a ladies gold class ring!

I ended up with two gold rings, a copper ring, a '59 quarter (my birth year), '52, '63 and '64 dimes, '47, '48, '52 and '54 wheats, a '63 Canada penny and about 80 cents in clad.

The class ring is 10k gold from 1958, and has no engravings. It has J and P at the corners and what looks like a 'B' in the center. I'll start researching and see if I can figure out what school it is, and hopefully track down JP or her family.
The little gold band is marked '417' (10k gold).

Btw, I found the quarter OTWBTTC and about 10 feet away. It was the only quarter I found.

Your pinkish item is a "Sneak A Toke"... pipe.

awesome on the gold and the silver plus the wheaties and other finds. good luck on the return, I returned 4 glass rings, made them all very happy for sure.

Assuming JP was 18 when she graduated she should be 82 years old now, good luck on a return.
Yep, I figured a granddaughter or great-granddaughter would wear it proudly. Gonna be tough to narrow it down though.

Aha, thanks, I was perplexed by it having no threads at either end.
The elongated smooth end had a rubber tip / nipple part.
It does unscrew... the pointed part is a cap... it will twist off its threaded.
Open it... might be some weed still inside :) lol

It was full of grass roots! (turf, not weed) :laughing7:
