I went out this evening for a couple of hours to "just get away", and do a little detecting at a local park. I managed to find some clad, 2 sets of keys, one with all the keys broken off. I did find one of the broke pieces. Also another token with an eagle on it (modern "No Cash Value"), some other odds and ends, and one more .925 ring. Oh yea, for those that are into zipper pulls, I found one of those, too. It was nice and relaxing just to get out in the evening air.

Dave, at the rate your going there won't be any coins left in the ground anywhere in Texarkana. Nice going, now if you only had a Minelab

Dave you remember the conversation we had about you trading up for an Explorer II

Congrats on a good outing. I guess if you're gonna finda a zipper pull, it might as well be a neat one like the one you found.

Yea, I remember, I'm still checking out everything I can find on the Whites and Minelabs underwater detectors. I haven't really made up my mind yet, or my funds. The funds being the main hold up at the moment. :D

Nice finds.
Those Enjoyable moments are worth it, find or no finds.

Nice ring!! Congrats on getting out for some fun!

Congratulations Piggman, that's a nice ring you got yourself!
Found one myself, very similar to yours, about 6-8 months ago.

Way to go, keep up the hunting!!

Hey Piggguy, Congrats on yet another silver ring! You must have a hundred by now. LOL You never disappoint me. I fully understand having to get out just to relax...I'm going nuts here now that its been raining almost every day. I think its supposed to rain again tomorrow but I'm going to try to duck in and out at some spots in a neighboring town. Now that the ground is moistened up I've got a spot that I've been waiting to attack...I kinda think its probably already been hit but I've got some secondary spots if needed. Anyway, I need to get to bed or it'll be noon before I get up! Keep up the good detecting.

Nice finds piggy.I like the ring.Gonna hit the farm this evening, maybe I can find my first ring.

Nice finds, piggman!

The zipper pull is a neat one, the broken keys are curious.

Is that a shell casing in the picture?

Always enjoy your posts,

Thanks for sharing.

It's not a shell casing, but it is brass, open at both ends, and has some design on it. I think it was part of an ornimate of some sort. Yea, the ring of broken keys got me too. There has to be a story behind that.
