You may remember the post I had recently about my very first Barber Half Dollar find at an 1877 Farm House. The Barber I located was most likely in the homeowners barn when it burned to the ground several years ago. Thus it was fried but was still identifiable as a 1902 Barber Half. I also located several wheats. Well I thought that I did this once before so I figured I would make it a habit so as to improve my chances at nearby properties. After brewing a bit about my very first Barber Half and the fact that I was holding a piece of coin history in my hand, I knew I needed to give it to the homeowner. A momento of a terrible fire that destroyed their old barn. So I framed the coins with a picture of their home. I also got a snapshot of the homeowners and how happy they were with their new/old coins. They said they would tell their neighbors(also family members) and that I would be around to hunt their properties now. Fact of the matter is I may have given up a Barber Half and some Wheats, but I made two new friends and that was worth finding right there. Thanks for looking.. HH Be safe out there......jgas
