A Couple of Firsts

Got out to a few different places this weekend. A beach (in and out of the water) and my mother-in-laws lawn. Didn't find too much at the beach...11 cents in clad and a whole lot of garbage. This was the first time I tried MDing while scuba diving. Gonna have to try it some more to see if I can get a little more proficient at it. I used a DetctorPro and it seemed to work well when there was something to detect...fairly barren bottom. Then I went to my mother-in-laws house and used my fathers Minelab Explorer 2. Had a couple of beers and started swinging. Heres the pics of what i dug up there. This was the first ring I've ever found (too bad its not real). It still got my heart going a bit when I pulled it out of the hole. This was also the first pocketknife ive ever found. All in all not too bad of a weekend.

It's a real ring, just not real valuable I'm guessing because I see no marks inside the band. Maybe the pearl is real and the knife definitely looks cool. Nice finds!
