the item on the left is a button - tombac - hollow on the other side - shank missing (though its not as shiny on the outside...perhaps it was filled with a wire shank?)- does anybody have a good date on these - Ive found buttons shaped like this before (generally fairly early..but not always) - and tombac buttons -but never the combo of the two - very shiny

the other item is just a sterling pennant that says H.S.'94 - Im guessing H.S. is just generic for "high school" - basically "class of 1894" - if anybody can think of a specific H.S. this could be - nothing around here rings a bell - though I am adjacent to Holyoke - and the the county is Hampshire county (though Hampden country is immediately adjacent) -
thanks

Im sure its 1894 - I can tell its old - it was out in an old farm field - Im mostly wondering if H.S. stands for anything else-

Im really curious if the button is real old - Im trying to find evidence at a site that had buildings from 1680-1720 or so - there are 1800s farms not too far away (Ive found flat buttons and other obviously NOT 1600s stuff) - Im just wondering if the round tombac form is more "early 1700s" as opposed to "late 1700s" - thanks!
