Stopped by the old home site I've been hunting for a short hunt after work yesterday and dug a few interesting things. a broach with the stones missing, a few wheat pennies, an old pin with what looks like the letter "J" on it, a decorative leaf of some sort which appears to be newer. some more pieces of lead. I have found several of these lead "discs" each with different markings on them but have no idea what they are. And i found a 10k gold filled pin from Washington & Jefferson college glee club. i don't know how old it is but it was exciting to find. I also found a handful of clad coins, old shotgun shells, and a couple things that almost look like buttons but i'm not quite sure what they are.

very nice hunt, congrats. That monogrammed "J" pin is really cool! Always love finding the more personalized items. I don't know a thing for sure about the lead items, but wonder if maybe they are one of those wax seal "dealy bob's". I am sure someone on here will know for sure soon.....

Ho Ho the mistletoe, dug so you can see...

The decorative leaf is a Misletoe Christmas ornament where the kids put coloured plastic beads into each section, put it into the oven and melt it.

The house sits rite beside the railroad tracks! Originally the Richmond and Petersburg Railroad during the Civil War. That's gotta be it. Thanks a lot.

Actually the owner did say they have burned their Chrismas trees out there before. You guys are good!

Congratualtions on the nice hunt! :occasion14:
