A few firsts for me tonight... picked up two boxes earlier in the day.

1st box yielded:

1 - Barber: 1901-O (my first)
1 - Walker: 1945-D (my first)
1 - Franklin
4 - 90% Kennedies
11 - 40% Kennedies
6 - 2002 and ups

So that's 5 half types in one box... I love it! ;D

2nd box yielded:

1 Walker: 1918-D (my 2nd)
1 Franklin
1 90% Kennedy
10 40% Kennedies
8 - 2002 and ups

Sounds like a couple of good boxes to ME. Congrats on the 90%'s, all different flavors. HH Mark

Variety is the spice of life.

Kudos !

Very nice finds. I'm still waiting to find my first Barber half, I did find a barber dime about a year ago. Those are the boxes that keep you motivated through the skunks, because they can show up at any time.

Arent those barbers a fun rush? Ive only got one to my credit but I like seeing other people finding them.

Thanks all. I'm happy to say the least. Got the barber right next to a '64 and then I had to go to the gym. I then began thinking to myself if there's a Barber in there, i bet there's a Walker in there.... Got back and open 10 more and got the Walker. I couldn't believe it... So then I started hoping for a Franklin to round off the box... sure enough I scored one.

2nd box I was happy to see the older Walker and on the last roll, bam... a Franklin.

I couldn't sleep after the excitement.

Congratulations on the Barber. What was the condition?

You always remember your first Barber. My first came out of a CWI box. It was a 1912D in XF condition. Strangely enough, the only other silver in that box was a lone 40%AG Kennedy. I didn't even find any silver in the other boxes with the same date. Go figure that. Needless to say, I was esctatic and put that baby in a direct fit airtite.

The best coins in your collection are the ones you find yourself.

Congrats on the Barber...I agree I couldn't sleep either when I found my first.

Wow.....that is a great day. Like they say, variety is the spice of life......so you did quite well. Kudos!!!

Good luck on the next hunt.
