Went detecting after work today at a couple homesites and didnt fare well, only finding a couple 1940's wheaties. Decided to hit the French Colonial site for the last couple hours of the day. Started out in an area where ive dug alot of pottery, many glass chards, a little bit of brass, and a couple cobs. Ended up pulling a nice musket ball, what i think is a mid 19th century vest/pants buckle, and some nice pottery chards. Then i went in another area where i dug a large French colonial marines button that i thought for a second might be an old copper. I keep thinking that site is beat down, and im stilling finding a few cool finds. Also dug a tiny cuff button that i wasnt too sure about until i got home. Im guessing civilian dress, but was wondering if anyone has ever seen one like it. No apparent backmark. Looks like the front design is offset. I can see an outline of a large circle on it and a pattern in the center. Any ideas on the tiny flat button, the pottery, and the buckle? Thanks for looking. Oh and i just purchased an older Teknetics T2 SE. Cant wait for it to get here, so i can go back to some old sites, and see what i might have missed. Woohoo.!! New toy,.
