A college classmate's view of Barrak Obama's agenda

What Obama and I Learned at Columbia: How to Destroy America From Within | TheBlaze.com

Just wondering what anyone else thinks of this article, but please, don't kill the messenger or the source site, if you want to dis the blaze or the writer of this material you are certainly free to start your own thread concerning your opinions of either. Just interested in opinions of the information given in this story.

If you are someone who supports Mr. Obama, do you go along with this agenda for America? Or do you think Mr. Obama's policies will eventually restore freedom and individual responsibility instead. Can't have it both ways.

1. Per your rules laid out for a response, you have really bottled/stifled the types of replies you will receive. You have designed it so that only someone who opposes Obama or someone who agrees with the premise of the article can respond without being accused of derailing the thread.

2. Lately I have seen people posting articles and then not standing behind them. I find this quite troubling. If you post something, stand behind it. So, Im sorry, but the whole "dont shoot the messenger" attitude... Im calling BS (and not just on you, on anyone who uses such a technique).

So discussing the Idea that we "might" and let me again stress "might' have elected a president who has dedicated his life to destroying the things that have given you and me all we have and hold dear is something you won't do?

You must ignore this message? For what reason can you not discuss these particular ideas?

The reason I am against killing the messenger is because that is how evil tyrants triumph, every time it is done. Am I saying I know for sure the writer of this article is correct and Mr. Obama's agenda is destruction of free America. No. I'm not saying that. I'm just asking for a discussion of the ideological elements put forth by this writer.

My conservative friends keep telling me that liberals are the most closed minded of all political and demographic groups, your response has me leaning toward believing them, and I can tell you this for sure...I would be happy to discuss your topics by your rules and your wishes anytime because I do not have a closed mind. A mind open to discussion is the path to truth revealed.

I'm sorry you could not discuss the content of this article, and the impact these ideologies may have upon a hitherto free society...I had hoped you were wiser than that.

If JB can't turn it into a blaze bash fest, he don't wanna play no mo.

The left believes, if it is from the blaze it must be attacked at all costs. I'm starting to believe, after seeing how hard they attack him, that perhaps I need to give Mr. Beck another look.

He sure scares the hell out of the leftists. Maybe there's something there ...

I read most of the article today at work. What I particularly found interesting is that NONE of his classmates remembers Scandaldaddy being in their class. That is quite peculiar.

On your second question (although I'm NOT a supporter of the current occupant of the White House) I will answer it with another question (and probably upset some folks):

How can destroying personal liberties, instituting programs that oppress the people, and threatening to take away our freedoms and even our very lives (drone attacks on U.S. soil would likely kill Americans) do anything to restore freedom and individual responsibility?

Closed minded, brain washed,or just plain ole screwed up in the head.It all boils down to the same thing. When it comes to their fuhrer they all get into attack mode to the principles that are brainwashed into them.Pretty sad when you think about it JunkShop. The inability to think for themselves,I kind of pity their spouses and their kids.I wonder how they get dressed by themselves in the morning.,can they tie their own shoes? How do you live without being able to think for yourself. What really gets me is their FAKE patriotism,I could name names but,I think everybody knows who,or what, I'm talking about. As I stated one time,I see through them like a sheet of plexiglass.Must be tough trying to live a FAKE life with,FAKE emotions,FAKE personalities,a FAKE sense of honor, basically a FAKE self.So very sad to live a life and go through life being nothing but a FAKE.

The question was for liberals, Mr. Obama always says he is is trying to make America a better place, improve the lives of the middle class, and, you know, all that "hope and change" stuff, I was just wondering if any of our good liberal folks could clear us up on how oppression and loss of freedom and threats of things such as drone attacks are actually good for us.

They have two was to go on this. They either have to admit they think all the things mentioned by you and the blaze article are good for America or they have to admit they were completely fooled on election day. The problem is I gave too much credit to folks like the good Mr.JB because he came up with a third possible answer...call me a BS'er and continue living in denial...Why didn't I see that comming? Sheeeeeesh:dontknow:

Well, it's always going to be thus because they will never admit that their god lied to them.

They are also naive enough to think that the drones will only be used against us nasty conservatives, never realizing that EVERYONE will eventually be at risk because the loss of freedom will be the ruin of EVERYONE.

As P.T. Barnum used to say, there's a fool born every minute.

Many of us "liberals" do not wish to subscribe to a false premise backed by extreme bias. See above "do you go along with this agenda for America". Thus, I have no reason to comment on your article in the first place. I think I know when I am being set up to be "slaughtered" by offering my opinion. I am no fool.

My point was made in post # 2. It was then ignored only to be followed by 6 posts of both direct and back handed insults.

Ben, I may be 100% wrong, but I really don't think all the things you post are your personal thoughts. They are usually right along the party line.

You're passionate in what you post, but then again, I used to be passionate about how terrible Nixon was (even before we knew what he did), about how extremely evil Reagan was. I was even upset when Dukakis lost the '88 election to Bush. Everyone had told me he was a clone of Reagan, it just wasn't true. He had no backbone.

I am the first person to tell you that I am left leaning. I have never denied this, because it is true.

That being said, my thoughts and opinions are very much my own. I dont have any way to prove this to you, nor do I have to. I dont sit at home watching MSNBC. My day does not revolve around the next time Obama is going to give a speech.

My daily news typically comes from Google News, which pulls news from all over the world. Sometimes I visit CNN.com, but I do so fully aware of their "issues". I also get most of my local news from NJ.com, so I can stay informed about important local issues. When I want to see what the other side is saying, I read a Fox News article.

If my ideas sound similar to "party line" ideas, then that is simply a coincidence. There are a LOT of liberals in the US, so for people to have similar ideas, it is not at all surprising.

Hopefully someday you can just accept me for who I am - jerseyben. Not a "lib" or "obama supporter". I am just me.

Nice post JB, and I respect your being so honest.

What I can't understand is how I am called a racist when I don't agree with Obama. My dislike of the president has nothing to do with his color, but everyone accuses me of being racist.

I'm Native American, but I have dated women of all shades ... in fact many of them were African American women. No problems with any color, until the other person does.

Human beings are human beings. Until someone proves to me that there is a problem, I treat all equally.

If that offends anyone here, then that is THEIR problem.

However, it does anger me to be called a racist over and over because I don't agree with Obama's politics ... when I don't really see color as a barrier to anyone being a good or bad person.

Hey everyone!...Forget that we could have elected an American President who may be out to destroy our very society because...I JUST FOUND ANOTHER CLAD QUARTER...WOO FREAKIN' HOO! ...Lord help us all

He attacks the President but can't even spell his name correctly.

:)

Your freedom is disappearing and you point out a spelling mistake? Are you serious? Once again, can any of our good liberal members discuss the '"content" of this article and not kill the messenger, (or point out spelling a mistake) instead...forget the blaze because you fine liberals are even making Rush Limbaugh look like a genius, he says when all a person can do is "kill the messenger" it means he has realized he is wrong...do you guys really want to prove Mr. Limbaugh right?

Calling all Liberals...Forget the content of the article and go for something really different....Three...Two...One...attack Rush Limbaugh!

I agree with the thesis of the article...
just like hillrawldooo and Capone's "secret tunnel/stash, everything is mythology, it is bogus.

"Remember when Geraldo opened Al Capone’s vault live on national TV? Well I’m about to solve the mystery of Obama. I’m about to break “the Obama code.” I’m about to tell you everything about the way Obama, and the people around him, really think. I’m about to rip open the true Obama plan to destroy our country. Because I was there when the plan was hatched."

perhaps he should grow a mustachio?

Thanks Mr. Pip for at least some honest commentary on the content of this article...I figured resorting to accusing folks of proving Rush Limbaugh right would provoke a response from someone!

So you think the class at Columbia U did not cheer the reported assassination of Regan. The writers' classmates did not speak with glee of taking the current American system "down". You don't believe the Cloward-Piven theory was taught at Columbia to Mr. Obama. All these things are bogus from the writer?

You don't believe "saving the uninsured" is the fraudulent name for income redistribution. And you don't believe Obamacare isn’t about health care. It’s about bankrupting the middle class and addicting it to government dependency. Or that it's about redistributing wealth from the middle class and small business to Obama’s voters (the poor and unions). You don't believe Mr. Obama's goal is to wipe out the middle class America, creating a two-class society: the super rich and the poor (both beholden to Obama and the Democratic party)?

Well, Mr. Pip, thanks again for your kind and honest response...never in my life have I so hoped someone I dis-agree with is right.

Not twisting, just asking....truly.

You said the article was bogus, just trying to clarify your response.

BTW I was 8 yrs old when Chubby Checker did the twist, never liked him much, Liked Buddy Holly much better...American Pie don't cha' know.

so...how old were you when you learned the twist?

(DELETED BY MOD OFF TOPIC)

Isn't what's left of this post off topic as well?

Pippen has been on my ignore list for a while. Unless he is posting in a thread I start, I had been ignoring his posts because he is always derailing topics.

If it isn't off topic, please PM me with the reason. Don't care if you guys think I need a time out for asking, I would just like to know.
