My family and I headed to Myrtle Beach this weekend to visit my wife's sister & her family. The weather at the beach Saturday was fine for me, but the ladies were shouting "it's too cold" within an hour of getting there. 
Needless to say, the MDing was cut short, very short. I let my son try my old Tesoro Cutlass while I tried out the new Tesoro Silver Umax. Within about 10 minutes, I dug up a ring, but unfortunately it was a toy one. My son dug up a key, and a round iron plug he was hoping was a pirate coin. 
I must say, digging on the beach is so much better than digging on the farm property. No ticks or snakes either.
No great finds in such a short time, but had a great time with my family. As you can see, my kids are getting older, and soon won't want to hang around with their metal detector geek father.
My son is in the center, my daughter on the right, her friend on the left, and my nephew on the far left.
