Interesting, I found a bunch of scrolls very similar to the two bottom ones you posted. Too bold of me to ask what they are asking for them?

With art, if you have to ask, the risk isn't worth it. There are very few exceptions to this rule if your primary goal is to flip it.

I don't mind telling what they're asking the only one I know for sure is the first painting which is the Jessica rice they're asking 6000 the other ones I haven't spoke to them yet about it I wanted to get more information before I did they tell me an art appraiser appraised it at 20 to 30,000 on the Jessica rice

Don't walk, don't even run. At those prices, you must flee. It's the only term that can convey the gravity of the situation.

Could only find two publicly available prices on Jessica Rice paintings that were sold at auction, one went for $4,375 and the other went for $5,250.

The chances of making money here look very, very, very slim. You'd probably be better off buying $6,000 worth of lottery tickets. The collage thing is almost certainly a similar story.

As for the Asian (Chinese?) pieces, I wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole.

I agree to stay away on the Chinese pieces. I bought an 8 ft scroll at auction, wonderful detail. It was appraised at 400-600 only. I'm guessing if they think it's worth 20,000 they won't be selling it cheap. Just my two cents.

Maybe see the lowest they will take on the Jessica rice. If you could get them to cut the price significantly it may be worth it.

Those two Rice sales were in 2008 and 2009, right before the reality of the financial crisis had truly sunk in. Might as well have been a different planet.

It's my sister-in-law owns the painting and the scrolls the price of 6000 is just for the Jessica rice and they're saying that appraised at 20 or 30 which I think is kind a high they have try to sell it before with no luck I was thinking of offering about 1500 and see if they'll take it but almost likely just try to sell it for her thanks for all the replies
