Today i found Napoleon's army button with number "1" on it, friend of mine found similar button with "69" on it.
("69" - nice number, isn't it...? )
I wonder, why are they different...
Any info welcomed.
Hey Matejko. Great buttons. The numbers indicate the regiment. The first regiment was known as Picardie Regiment. Some of them were at Yorktown, VA in 1781 as the Ship Garrison. I have no information on the 69th regiment. Apparently they never served in the US. My books only show buttons from regiments that served over here. Absolutely great finds. Congrats...Lance
