I've seen that very design or close to it before, and cannot find it on the net right now. But... if that back mark says: "IVES KENDRICK & COCT"... take good care of that button, because others are selling for a tidy sum!

Doing more research... what is the back mark?

looks like an 1800-1850 gilt button.
Nice find!!!!

Thanks for the info and any more is apreciated.
Here are more pics of the back.

Interesting button...does look old. Hope you can find out more about it...where's PBK?

;) RR

Yes... it's a beauty! Guilted all around and a standing shank!

I wish I had dates for you but someone (PBK) should come along soon I hope and tell you more...

It's a damned pretty button.

Hey Jim, I found it with a bounty hunter discovery 3300.

It is a Jacksonian era button, very nice find, and yours is in this photo, far left. :)

Circa: 1820's

Hey Ed, I am sure glad you have better eyesight than I do.
I will have to start taking along a magnifying glass. ;D

Thanks for the info and the pics Don.

What do you think that button is worth and where would I sell it?

TIA
