First time back to the possible old home site on the creek today and besides trash, only found this bullet. It was burried 7.5 in. so I'm wondering how old it might be. It's about a half inch tall. Sure glad I'm not depending on detecting for a living. I'd go hungry every day! ;)

LoL, sorry I don't know about the bullet, but have to agree that my newbee self would certainly go hungry detecting. But still I think its pretty cool and addicting.

It looks old enough, any rings around the base? Tsgman

Blurry pic. Can you see any rifling on the bullet (lined scars running top to bottom)?

I know, sorry! Best my pitiful Canon PowerShot can do. Won't let me manually focus.

It does seem to have riffling running vertically, and appears to slant from top left to bottom right. The bottom is slightly concave. Also appears to be brass as shown by a slight knick from my trowel. No rings around the base, so not that old I guess.
