Today I searched a box of each type of US coin.
The dollars, halves, quarters, and dimes yielded no keepers---except for the occasional Canadians. The dollars were Sacs (and I now know to look for the Cheerios dollars lol!).
In the nickels I found a 1940, a 1941, a 1961 about uncirculated. And I found a 1943 war nickel, the 2nd one I've found this week. I'm really starting to like the war nickels.
The pennies gave me lots of pre-82s (I'm still sorting them), 4 recent Canadians, and 3 wheaties: 1945, 1955, and 1956. I was really hoping to find more wheaties.
Even though just about every box of halves I search is a skunk, I haven't given up on halves yet. There must be some serious CRHers around here, because this city is silverless. Pennies aren't really my thing, but I do enjoy searching them. Nickels, however, have really caught my interest, especially the war nickels.
Happy hunting!
