Had to wait a while to post as I couldn't get my jaw off the floor. You ever tried?
What an assortment from one of our most prolific field hunters extant. Larson 1951.... you ROCK!
I will have to dig (literally) lol to find the proper items to match your kind gifts.
For those of you who didn't see, the box contained...
a multitude of Mandan pottery shards, some with fingernail impressions.
a bag of bone tools,
some sweet points and scraping tools of KR flint and of material unfamiliar to me.
very fine bird points in a bag with beeds of shell and some maybe crinoid fossil.
not to mention the bird beak of bone.
This is a box of education.. it will be treasured and most of all shared with others in an effort to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of American Indian cultures.
Be watching your mail Steve, what goes around comes around.
Many thanx,
Brent
