✅ SOLVED A bit of history help, any firemen out there?

Found this today . Took a few minutes to figure out it was the firemen?s symbol and than found and example that is spot on. The non dug example is from 1925 and New York . The permission was a 1924 home in North Carolina . So with example and closer examination ,know it is part of a fireman?s delegate pin. Anyone know any history on these ? And maybe explain what a fireman delegate is? Thanks

I am a retired fire captain. Many states had Fireman's conventions yearly and delegates were chosen from each city that had a fire department to attend the conventions. They would see the latest innovations in fire fighting and report back to the city they represented.
