A "BIG" first and my First Trifecta
Lately I've had a couple good days mixed in with a few not so good days. About a week ago i found all 4 Silver dimes and the Buffalo on one trip. I also found the Monopoly car, this coming 2-3 days after finding the Monopoly hat. Go figure. I spent a couple hours searching a field site where a Mill was located. I only found a shot gun shell head, no signs at all of the mill.
Sunday I went back to an old house I hunted before, this time using the 6x8 coil. I found 2 Indians there and the 1938 1 centavo coin plus 4-5 wheats. Obviously I missed these the first time. PENNY Trifecta whoo hooo, LoL. Next I knocked on a door where I stoppped 5-6 times before. Today the homeowner was home and permission granted. The house is probably 125 years old. Three steps out of the truck memorial penny, two more steps jefferson nickel. Here we go again I thought, old house Big Let Down. four more steps and I get a beautiful 01-02 46/47 ID# that bounced around on the ferrous side 11/12 but the 46/47 was solid and the tone was o so sweet. I hoped Silver Quarter, maybe even my first SLQ. I dug the plug only about 4 inches deep peeled it back and this beautiful Walker was looking back at me, No pin pointer needed. I know it's only worth melt value, but look at the beautiful condition. My guess is fine to xf. The 1907 Indian is just as nice. Finished with another Indian, made four for the day a personal best. Thanks for looking, HH; Bill PS; BIG first= Walker for me. Silver #11 to date
