Found this in the woods of Norway. This cap is on several pages here on TN. What year could this be? What did the barrels contain, and what is it doing in the middle of the forrest? dumped by plane for some troops? any suggestions much appriciated.
The U.S. military did use them (maybe still does?), but they were widely used on commercially available cans as well. I can't tell what color the paint is, but it might be indicative of who used it.
