Remember that find back a bit ago? I received a 1909 VDB penny in change?

Also, remember how I said that one thing I've found about my new AT-Pro was that it seemed to have this, (for lack of a better word), personality.
It seems to enjoy a good joke now and again. Well, it did it again.

I'd taken the day off from detecting because of weather and was going through my recent finds to see if any would clean up. There was this wheatie that looked like it might, so, I took it from it's olive oil bath and proceeded to use a soft brush and some soap. As the date became apparent, I just started laughing. I could see there was no mint mark so that was out but, sure enough! 1909 - VDB. LOL

Just thought I'd share.

Can't you figure out a way to get an S on it? Back in 1962 or close to that time I had a 1909 S VDB and sold it for $40 to buy my wife a vacuum cleaner. It wasn't a straight up coin, it had been scotch taped onto a board, so the value was way off of what it was worth even in those days.

I suppose I could try to group a few of the pits on this one. Maybe I could get an "S" . ;)

It really has been funny a couple of times. Like when I found that toy cavalry soldier that was all broken up. I said, "Boy I wish I could've seen this when it was new." A few minutes later, well, you know. LOL

AND, we can't forget the most classic pinpoint. LOL

You can't convince me this thing doesn't have a personality. :)
