Haven't been motivated to do the photography until now. This hunt was just before Thanksgiving. I went to a little country house almost on the state line with Ohio. It's a rental that is being repainted inside and the older lady in charge of the job got permission for me. I had just met her a few days before and on hearing of my hobby, she said she might have a site for me.

I was pretty chilly. I wasn't having much luck. The XLT only found a few mem cents and no significant trash or relics, so I thought the place was hunted out before I got there. I was thinking of quiting for the day, but decided to work the side of the house away from the drive. I thought there might have been minimal activity on that side of the house though. It had a sloping yard that lead to a cornfield about 20 feet out from the house. Soon, I got the Kennedy half signal. Then, when I was seriously thinking of calling it a day I got the signal for the V nickel. The signal was pretty iffy - and I figured it was trash, but it ended up making my day.

Nice find, still waiting for my first V. Bet that was worth sticking around
a few more minutes.

Congrats on the "V" Steve and hopefully there will be a few warmer days ahead. Might be able to get out this week if it doesn't rain all day.
