9X12 Coil for the Garrett ACE 250

I just got my ACE 250 yesterday,haven't gotten out to use it yet,but I'm rarin' to go !!

Question: How deep has anybody found something with the 9X12 coil ?

How does it stack up against the standard 6.5X9 coil?

Also,anybody try the 4.5 super sniper with it yet?

If so,how'd it do?

I have the 4.5 Super Sniper coil and use it a lot. It's excellent for hunting extremely trashy areas. Also works well along the edges of concrete that has rebars and along metal fences. Good investment. Haven't got or seen the new larger coil yet but I would imagine it will work just fine! Would like to see an evaluation written up by someone who has one. Monty

I got the super sniper for mine and thought I had made a bad decision until I needed it to work a trashy area that was next to a fence (yes, trashy and next to a fence). It worked very well in that situation. I don't use it a great deal, but I'm glad I got it. Next to the sidewalk is a good idea to fight the rebar, haven't tried that yet.

I'll let you know how it works,if I can ever find the time to get out and use it.
Luckily,I live in California,so it's not yet time to stop hunting.
I've been doing some research into an old ghost town that's only about 120 miles from me and I'm guessing that'll be a good place to try it out.
Then,if everything goes right,I'll be moving to England in February,and start hunting some old Roman and Saxon sites( I can't wait!!)
