.999 Silver... Need help with Id'ng...

Took the CZ-3D out for about an hour today and found several clad and a couple of wheats and this silver anniversary something ???

If anyone can assist with the anniversary that is being celebrated, I'll greatly appreciate it...
It's roughly 1" by 5/8" in size...

Nope. Don't know what it is, but it sure is nice. It's probably worth something too since it's silver.

I can't help with the ID either but it sure is a great find!

It is what it is, a pendant, made of pure silver. Nice find. They still make these so there's a premium as a piece of jewelry. Congrats

Couple of thoughts here - is it missing the 'v' out of Anniversary? Maybe its just how it looks in the photo but if it is then its probably a knock-off that was silver clad and not solid. On the other hand it is numbered so it could be the real McCoy. Perhaps for the US Bicenttenial.

The 'V' is there... I didn't even think of our Bicenttenial... DUH :-[ ... Suspect the item was exposed to a fire... I'll treat it to some electrolysis as there is some surface blackening...

A brief examination of your pendant..

My thoughts are that the medallion was minted for the 1776-1976 Bi-Centennial anniversary of the United States as represented by the American Bald Eagle on the obverse. Did you check the US Mint .gov?

Silver gets dark like that when it has been in a wet spot for a long time. That is as pure as it gets. Nice find. Mike.
