Not to argue but I doubt it's Norman Grant. Not unless the "NG" is inside of a square. Also he is from Scotland, their marks for sterling are a little different than ours. The U.K. has their own unique system for marking sterling. Mumszie what does the ring look like and is the NG inside of a square?

OK it is not a ring but a large silver cross with 16 small diamonds? and 4 larger diamonds. She looked for the chain that it must have been on but couldn't find it. The marks on the back are as follows 925 - an ng inside a circle a 1 inside a circle and a c inside a circle The one picture she sent me is very blurry as she doesn't know how to steady a camera very well and I live too far away to take the picture for her. I knew the 925 meant it was silver (92.5%) but I did not know what the other marks meant
