The finds have slowed down conciderably here with a typical day bringing only 12-30 coins. That is way down from earlier in the year. Just back in May I found over 1500 coins and I was well on my way to a banner year for new change. September is a disappointment as I will only find a little over 700 coins and 166 of those were in one day(In another town).
My 9000th coin of the year was a 1978 quarter, I may end up having to go to other towns to get over 10,000 coins for the year,seems I have way more competition than I used to, must be the Recession?
Well September is finished, so here is what I found; keys; 2
one cent; 234 (one wheat, a 52-d) foriegn coins; 2, french 2 francs, canada $2
five cents; 56 oldest 1940
ten cents; 202
twenty five cents; 215(86 states and territories,41 different)
Silver rings; 2, 49 for the year
other rings; 1
tokens; 1
Total 717, last year 783, year to date 9045,last year 7723.Good hunting, kane23
