Interesting, but it doesnt really even say where approximately they might be. I am sure it would be good to know that!
 

I looked it up last night...

A General History of Voyages and Travels to the End of the 18th Century by Robert Kerr

Google it and read it.
 

Sounds like the 1589 fleet of General Alvaro Flores. There were 49 ships that left Havana on Sept. 12. On Sept. 18 they were hit by a strong storm that lasted 8 days. Fourteen ships were lost. But I can't believe the rest of the fleet reached the Azores less then a month later.
