Hello all, I took my new Sorex Pro out for 2 hours yesterday and also got to use for the first time my new minicamcorder. So, this was my first attempt at videoing a hunt and posting it on Youtube...hopefully my skills in those regards will improve in the future! I hunted a local spot that is heavily wooded and that I have hunted for many years...very scattered good finds there and in some spots alot of trash. I will post a more in depth review within the next month of the Sorex, but what I will say right now based on two hunts is that I like this machine very much, but it is NOT a machine for a beginner or novice. Listening to two audios at the same time (RT all metal and ST discrim) takes some getting used to. What I will say is that the hodograph is NOT a gimmick...it works VERY well. In the video, the second target (a large aluminum bottle/screwcap) at times would straight line but also sometimes make large loops in the non-ferrous area of the screen (center to right)...on my G2 and most machines I have used this target would report in as a coin (dime to quarter). It also seems that the hodograph works quite well as far as accuracy fairly deep. Here is the vid...be kind guys
