This coil kills it on small gold, confirmed!

That tiny bit of 14k gold with the stone in it hits SOLID at 3 inches, doesn't make a peep on my Explorer even if I rub it on the coil. So I broke out the bits of gold dredged in Idaho to see how small this coil will go, depths in inches, all solid dig it hits, I'm impressed.

Here's a closeup of that 14k gold ferrule, note the back is open just 3 little tabs.

Looks good. I have the 9" eliptical coil on my Deus. Took it to the beach and for the 1st time today bumped the frequency up to 28.8, and spent half the day chasing bits and pieces of everything imaginable. Got 2 earring studs that were tiny, the center barrels from barrel swivels for fishing, small fishing split shot and some gold and junk rings.

Try gold field too (Program 10). It is a pitch, all metal program with adjustable iron rejection and a threshold setting. Very sensitive. Frequency you select determines mid-conductor sensitivity.

I have a fresh water beach nearby I am going to try to hunt some.
Easy digging.
Will be interesting to see what pops out.
