9/14/10 - One Silver Five Wheat cents.

Silver is not easy to find in this little town of mine. So, Im surprised I find it at all. I get excited about it. I know there are some detectorist hot shots who will think little of my finds. But i dont care. I live in Eugene Oregon. On the west coast. Im not gonna find colonial coins. Or the super rare stuff. Or the silver that is more plentiful out east. Im new to this. And I love it. So thanks for taking the time to check this out.

Not much ? My goal when I go out hunting is to try to come home with at least one silver, most of the time I don't, so you did very good in my book, wtg !

Awesome Stuff..And Trust..I feel the same way.. I have only found 2 Silver Ever in the last 9 months of hunting and they were found just within the last month...For awhile i was thinking it was everybody tapped this city out..But now i Believe!!

Once i found that first silver thou...the fever kicked in

I think it is that way for lots of people. I have a hard time finding silver. I mean I find a good deal but. I'm no where near 100 silver like some of the real players. Hard work finding one silver at most sites, its worth hunting a lot of sites. Cause every now and then you get a site that nets 5 or more silver. Just keep plucking away and you'll get up there.

I was the passenger. Remember, I was in a major wreck last year as a passenger. NO WAY would I drive and vid.
Yeah, anyway. F WORD Neil, I dunno how Im finding em. Im netting at least one now every hunt. And they are hard work to find!! That silver was the last target. And it took forever to find it. As Holly was hunting. I took a walk. Felt out the area. Found one TINY small patch of grass. And said, this is it. I know its here. Ran back. Said, I need the machine. Came back. Got a iffy weird signal that if I was rushing would pass up. But, I just knew it was silver. I dug 4 inches. And there it was. Funny how once you get into this hobby. You start to get that gut feeling about a spot. And it was a spot, I bet my money no one has ever touched. Because it was so small. And just out of the "norm" for a place one would think there would be silver. Thing I have learned. Is there is change EVERYWHERE. So, why not be in some weird places.

For me, it was an awesome find and hunt. I just ment on here I didnt have much of a post.
