This morning with coffee in hand and while reading the IL form, I was inspired by 2 posts.
Metman said his son was hunting before work and TF's video with the group hunt yesterday.
Rain was letting up so I put NEW ALKILINE batteries in the pack and went hunting in a park
that has only let loose of clad, tabs and a few Wheaties for me. Dodging rain drops and some
pesky skeeter I pulled 3 coins out over 7" deep SLQ-S no date, 44P Merc. and a 35 Wheatie.

Congrat.!!!!!!!!! not many LSQ this year, so any counting !!!!!!!!!

My son has done this on many occasions. The park is not that old and I doubt we will ever find any silver in it, but he still walks over to the park and digs some clad before work. Not only does he get a good breakfast from his mother before work, now he gets his morning fix before starting work. He inspires me as well.

I, on the other hand, take my walk over to the park when I get home from work to hunt. Tonight I only stayed for about an hour but was able to pull 4 quarters, 3 dimes and some mems. It was kinda funny tonight. The local JFL kids practice every night in this park. Tonight I was being followed by a little guy who is too young to play but must come with his older brother. He asked me what I was doing and I told him. He followed along and was amazed when I said, "There's a penny under here", dug it and gave it to him. He continued to follow me and wait for the tone to go off again. Soon he had a hand full of pennies. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up digging those pennies again, but he sure enjoyed himself.

This is a GREAT hobby!!
