Well after 8yrs of having my wedding ring lost I decided to take my new Quest Pro out in the area that it was lost. After 1 hour of searching I found it at 5 1/2” deep in the ground. My wife had given up all hope but it has bothered me since the day I lost it. I was playing catch with my son who was 3 at the time. It was late in the evening and right at dark when we were putting everything up for the night. I gave the ball one last hard toss in the air and since it was winter my finger was smaller and the ring flew off into the darkness. I looked and looked for days and then looked occasionally as I thought about it and then just let it nag at me until I decided I wanted get into metal detecting. Glad I did and this was officially my third find. I found a 1985 Starfire Matchbox car, two 1/4” x 6” pieces of copper hard pipe, and some melted chunks of aluminum which I have no idea where they came from. Everything I found was kind of a shock as the property we live on was purchased 16 years ago as raw land. Sorry for the long post but I’m so happy I’ve found my ring. I have not bought or worn a ring since I lost it because I always told my wife I was going to find it one day. Oh yeah just so FYI the ring is white gold and the ID was a solid 60 and never budged so I knew when I passed over it that there was something good below.
