8th on the 8th

went out this afternoon (may go back out later) to hit some more curb strips. Well did not have much luck next to the sidewalks so I went across the street to work the area that would have a side walk on it. I worked a 10 x20 area near the stop sign and got a few 60's mems then a wheat with a nail next to it (man I love this CTX) then another Wheat about 2 feet away. well I decided to work the area real slow!!! I got a iffy 12-47 12-48 that was not hitting so well. it was hitting more like a one way signal that broke up on the return swing. It was reading 8in and it was every bit if not a little more, and it turned out to be a merc on edge. 1943 and I hit it..Again.... My 8th silver of the year on the 8th. I ended up with one more wheat then decided to come home and get some food.
