Diggin Canada
Jr. Member
Hi everyone, I decided to hunt at a different part of the park that I haven't hunted much and it has paid off. I have hunted there a few times before but mostly found modern coins and trash. This time I started to dig and the 7th target I got was an extremely worn George the 5th dime. From then I started to grid the area, hunt real slow and dig all mid range to high tone targets. This paid off and I ended up with 4 silver dimes: 1949,1945, 1941 and 1911 (very worn). I got 3 silver quarters: 1960, 1952 and 1944. The coolest find was a silver pin marked BIRKS and says "Ontario Safety League, Be Careful Avoid Accidents, Safety Always, Safe Driver Award 7 Years." If anyone knows how old the pin might be please let me know. I also got 2 wheats a George cent and 2 dog tags. It was an amazing hunt and I will be going back a lot and pound that area.
