I think I finally got one. Didn't have a bunch of targets today just the normal clad with two exceptions, I got my first 50 Konihok Ukrainian coin and had one broken weak signal in PP that I decided to dig. The weak signal got weaker during the dig process and I felt I might be losing the target but on the fifth scoop, there was no signal in the hole, checking the scoop I saw Yellow! large band but thin and has two metals yellow and white. If it was silver, it should be black (being deep, I figure its been there awhile). I've never tested Plat before but do have some acid for it..... tests were inconclusive. Guess it could be .900 platinum and my acid is for .950... I'm thinking Platinum and will have to make a stop one day at a jewelry store to get it tested properly.... 3.5 grams total weight. The white metal band is broken which may have caused the broken/weird signal I got in PP.

HH and GL everyone
Cliff

Good story on the keep digging, a lesson all should remember....And some fine treasure....

what color is it? yellow or silver color

That's a nice looking ring, cdv1..could it be yellow gold and white gold combination?

Ron, yeah the picture isn't the best, it is an 18k inner ring with a silver colored outer/center piece which is broken. (see pic).

Possibly Lorraine. The silver colored metal holds to 18k acid so it could be white gold..... but I was told by others that you can test Platinum with 18k acid and if it holds it is platinum.... I'm not so sure on that though

Oh, I re-read your original post, Cliff; apologies... I missed the part where you tested it for Plat. I hope the jeweler will confirm it as Platinum!:headbang:

Great Ring Buddy, that might be plat on the outside, best have it checked, may you pull many more my friend, HH

Nice finds cdv1!

I hope it's a PLT chris. That would be awsome. Don't spend that Konihok all in one place! :laughing7: :laughing7: :occasion14:

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it's Pt. Cliff!

A good find no matter what, but let's hope there's a bit of the plat. there.
