Terrible. I wonder if the boat's actual name was the "Concepcion?"

Hope they can find some more survivors...terrible!

Truly a disaster. One channel said over 30 deaths.

My thoughts as well ... until I read that the crew all slept up on the deck - while the guests all slept in the relative comfort of secure staterooms down below.
Common sense would dictate that if you're a crew member sleeping up on the deck of a burning ship, and you can't get through the flames to help those below despite your best efforts ... you have no choice but to jump into the water.
A massive tragedy in the boating/diving community regardless.

and common sense has me asking if a crewmember went to the second exit to ensure it was clear

or jump in the water ?

what blew up ? propane ? gasolene ?

Second exits can just as quickly be engulfed in flames in an explosion or torrent of flames.
I'm pretty jaded by nature, and not predisposed to giving folks the benefit of the doubt ... but I can't see anybody in such a situation - (be they crew member or otherwise) not doing everything in their power to help those below before realizing their only option was to jump.

SO SAD ! Please don't start gossiping about what may have happened , or any responsible parties. If you have never seen a boat burn,, they burn up quickly, much like an old mobile home !

The questions I need answered.
What kind of sensors were on board to detect propane, co2 etc?
As above, gas or diesel?
What fire equipment is onboard the other two boats of Truth Aquatics?
Do any of the crew have any burns?
Has the Coast Guard separated the surviving crew members and got each members story?

It seems there is something wrong with this story.

Terrible. I wonder if the boat's actual name was the "Concepcion?"

the spanish spelling, with the implication . . . .

in this case the 3ed world country is the US, I will bet there will be a raft of new requirements related specifically to fiberglass construction.
but paint burns also

Just a couple more questions.
Will the Coast Guard drug test each of the crew?
Will the NTSB or Coast Guard test each lock or latch found in the remains of the boat to see if they were locked?

Only the crew survived zup widdat
