This may not be the most exciting post but I feel like I’ve been mia for the most part thought I’d add what I can
I haven’t had much time for artifact hunting lately, had a tree fall on part of my house and in the middle of rebuilding about 1/3rd of it, also hurt my back and haven’t been right for several weeks… but anyway I couldn’t resist getting out after the big rain didn’t find a lot but the first one was funny. I took a picture of a leaf that looked like a point
While taking the picture i noticed another one and took a picture of it, I checked just in case and wouldn’t you know it was a point or part of one. The joy of surface hunting the woods.
It’s kind of throwing my mind for a loop trying to figure out which way is up on it. Not sure if the notch is intentional, or why it’s so thick in a spot you would think would be an edge…
The other tool fragment was missing the tip but still better than nothing also interesting as that spot seems to produce only darts and knives, unless it’s a drill it’s the first true arrowhead from there.
