7 hours in the clear, calm water with Bigmike and DavidFL...Mike was digging a target that he said had a chance to be a good one from the mid tone he was hearing...when he got it out of the scoop he screamed "TUNGSTEN" and threw it about 50 feet my way...I started laughing...I met Dave a few minutes later and told him Mike just dug a tungsten and that gold was getting hard to find these days...he smiled and held up his finger with a chunk of a gold ring on it...8.2 gram 14k Black Hills Gold ladies ring...I ended up with a gold plated ring marked .925, a titanium and a little junker...Dave got another small junker to give us 6 rings for the day...Pictures are just the stuff I found...I will get a picture from Dave of his gold ring and post it...good luck to everyone

Congrats on the sweet water finds. It's a great day when everyone scores. :headbang:

Congratulation on the nice finds. Sounds like everyone had a good time and Dave got the nicest one. Good luck guys and yours is a scoop away. Thanks for sharing.

Really awesome hunt! Congrats

You guys cleaned the place out!! Love the Gold ring!! 7 Hours... I would not be able to walk after that...

I forgot to add that I also found a guys tungsten wedding band that he lost in waist deep water just minutes before I came along...I got a reward of 10 bucks for gas money and he said I kept him out of the dog house.

How do you know it's Black Hill Gold ??

Just calling it Black Hills gold for the multi colors...when most people see rings with the multi colored gold, they call it Black Hills Gold...to label rings Black Hill Gold, it has to be made in the Black Hills region of South Dakota...the gold can come from anywhere but it has to be made into jewelry in the Black Hills...Daves ring is stamped "HAND MADE"...it may not be actual Black Hills Gold but its made in that design.

Congratz on GOLD! :2barsgold: Those are some good looking rings! Hopefully I'll find some these weekend as the wife and I are heading back to the beach!

So you really don't know if it is Black hill gold or not. Most BHG rings are made by American Indians. All gold has a marker and can be traced back to the mine it came from.

I dont think it is Black Hills Gold because BHG usually has a leaf pattern...just has the multi color gold that people associate with BHG...BHG jewelry was originally made from gold mined in the Black Hills, now its made from gold that comes from everywhere.
