I got out for 5.5 hours today. the water was just perfect but still a little muddy from all of the storms. I found 19.4 lbs. of lead today. 15.4 lbs was a homemade anchor someone poured lead into a coffee can with and eye bolt. 1 net weight and a few dozen sinkers. 1 hammer head, 3 fishing lures, lots of nails and trash, 1 live 12ga. shotgun shell, a few aluminum outboard shards, a track bolt, and an odd iron piece that looks like a bow tie. beat the hell out of sweating all day. oh yeah and a 1965 quarter.

happy hunting to all.

if people swim there, you did a good job of cleaning up some junk

The World is a safer place because of you. Stand tall, be proud. And, go find some Gold.

Reloaders always looking for lead, so you found valuable junk!

Well, yesterday I dug an old hatchet head that would be nice match for your hammer head, lol. :tongue3: Mine was in dunes high above the beach under a huge tree with wide-spreading limbs, where I hoped to find old silver & gold coins. Laughed when the hatchet head appeared instead of an iron box of fabulous coins; found the deteriorating handle a few yards away. Few minutes later, my son dug a 1931 wheatie under an even older huge tree, so we'll be back hoping for silver next time. HAVE FUN & glad you got COOLED OFF! Andi

reloaders only pay $1.00 for lead, divers pay $1.50 a lb. for divers weights, and I have the molds.
cool deal on the hatchet find g-olden years.
stay cool folks.
