'67 Frostie

Has anybody seen one? I looked on www.coinfacts.com and there's no mention of any Frosties in the SMS. I saw a '64 w/ deep cameo on ebay once going for a grand. Anyways last night I found one , the mirror finish is smudged and fingerprinted but the head is definately frosted. I took some pics and this is the best one. HH all, Mark

I have found 40%ers and 90%ers with similar finishes but never considered them anything special. Silver always seems to change looks depending on what type of environment it has been exposed to.

Take it to a coin expert or coin dealer that collects and ask. I may look like cameo but it may be just the friction with other coins.

It does look like mirror like on the fields.

Let us know if you find out something

If it was me, I would take dish soap and apply with your finger very gently and rinse with water
to clean the finger prints off, then you might see the cameo better.

If you are not sure how to clean PLEASE DON'T DO IT. One mistake could destroy this coin :BangHead:
Just my two cents.

Congrats on the very hard find

The 65-67 sms cameoes are very rare. I found one just a few days ago.

Yep mine looks just like yours only different year. The pic makes it look worse than it is, there are no visible scratches or rub marks on it. I upgraded it into my Kennedy book but was considering seeing what I can get for it metalwise as I'm not into numismatics much. HH all, Mark
