I went hunting with my Daughter today at a school in another state. We found 65 cents clad. NOt bad considering the circumstances.
I guess my CZ's problem started yesterday. I was with Dayton and went through 3 sets of batteries. I had already used each set. I had went on some long drives to some old places so I wanted some fresh batteries on each trip. So I ended up with 2 sets of Energizer max and 1 of Eveready. As I detected I noticed the sound when I turned off and on the detector was sounding different. IT worked for a bit after I changed the batteries each time. But then back to the problem. Today the problem was right off an non-stop. This was tested with 2 brand new never used sets of Energizer Max.
The volume starts out with some sound, not as strong as usual, but fades very quickly. This happens in a matter of like 20 seconds. IF I pinpoint its almost instant. My knob on my detector for sound has also moved out of its normal position it is rotated 1/2 around from normal. This happened a few days before, but did not appear to be a problem before. Anyways, I tried 2 seperate sets of headphones and it did it with both so I know its not the headphones.
Anyone have that problem before? CZ-6A...same as CZ-5's except mine has internal speaker only. I traded recently for this detector so I am sure I do not have any type of free support. IF you have experience this problem before or had to send something to Fisher before...anyone have any idea's how expensive it is for Detector maintenance if you don't have warrantee?
Thank you for the read. It's a shame. I Was going over what I though was some good signals yesterday with Daytondigger where we found some silver and some old nickels. But I did not realize my detector was having problems. IT was apparently cutting in and out yesterday, so who knows, perhaps I was over some other good stuff and just lost the sound.
Thanks for the read. Here is our finds of the day.
