64 Coin Haul

On Friday evening I hunted a baseball diamond that I started hunting a couple of weeks ago. I spent three hours there before darkness and mosquitoes told me it was time to quit. Finds totaled 64 coins worth $8.24.

Thanks...….it kept me busy for sure. Averaged out to about one coin every three minutes.

I'm not a big fan of finding modern coins either but it sure beats being skunked.
And at the end of the year I total all the coins up and it adds up being a pretty good chunk of change. For me it is usually a couple/few hundred dollars.

Of course finding silver is better than modern clad, but the clad pays for things that getting skunked doesn't. At the end of each hunt season I cash in my clad and use it to buy silver and gold coins.

Thanks Tommy...…….there may be a gold ring out there but I'm not going to hold my breath while I'm waiting to find it. I've hunted this place many times over the years and though I've dug a lot of clad there, it's never given up any silver coins or rings let alone gold. Been a few years since a gold ring has popped out of the ground, but thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks but I have to disagree......just because I dug only one nickel and no gold doesn't mean I was ignoring mid tones. They just weren't there.
