It was the first time that I did not have to fight frozen ground in the local park today. It was also the first time that I had a chance to really try out the new MXT. I was dissapointed in not being able to notch out pulltabs from nickles but the depth and pinpointing were fantastic and I am really satisfied with the MXT's performance. I was finding pennies, dime, and pulltabs at a depth of 8 to 9 inches without a problem and the one dime that I found was a canadian dime. It was all new clad because our park is just a few years old but it did give me an opportunity to work the MXT. I was using the standard 9.5 coil and the ground was wet

Wow, clad at 8" and 9" in a new park. I feel for you there. That's tough hunting and digging for new stuff.

It used to be a Carnival place that they turned into a park. They must have put top soil on top of the gravel that was there...

Hi Arizonaames: Wtg on your finds. Remember That nickles / pulltabs / rings can all give a similar signal.depending on ground conditions. just dig everything at first, eventuly it will come to ya when not to dig. My out of the way prime picken spots, I've cleaned out all the trash so if any one else happens by they will leave because of no targets.

Nickles and pull tabs = GOLD! Don't ignore them. Ignore your meter!
Just dig it all. I think after 5 years in this hobby I'm pretty well grand-
fathered in it to give that kind of advice now. (Wheeze) :tard:
