Well, I went out for about 4 hours this morning (how do you guys/gals swing your detectors for long periods
That's hard work!!!) and didn't find diddly squat.? I hit an old army airforce base near here that's been closed since the 50's, I think and all that rang up were those little tin circles used in roofiing.? ?
? Then I headed over to an 1890's house and only dug up a nut.? ?
By the time I got home, I was exhausted.? But, while sitting out and smoking a ciggie, I remembered that when I was a kid (back in the late 50's early 60's) I had started a penny collection.? Well, to make a long story short, I headed out to our storage shed and located those collections!? And lo and behold, there were 62 wheat pennies in my folders!? Treasure is where you find it, no ?
? Anyway, here's a pic of them.? I'm checked to see if they were worth anymore than face value....drat! Oh well, 62 cents is 62 cents!
