Well, I went out for about 4 hours this morning (how do you guys/gals swing your detectors for long periods??? That's hard work!!!) and didn't find diddly squat.? I hit an old army airforce base near here that's been closed since the 50's, I think and all that rang up were those little tin circles used in roofiing.? ?>:(? Then I headed over to an 1890's house and only dug up a nut.? ?>:(

By the time I got home, I was exhausted.? But, while sitting out and smoking a ciggie, I remembered that when I was a kid (back in the late 50's early 60's) I had started a penny collection.? Well, to make a long story short, I headed out to our storage shed and located those collections!? And lo and behold, there were 62 wheat pennies in my folders!? Treasure is where you find it, no??? ?:o? Anyway, here's a pic of them.? I'm checked to see if they were worth anymore than face value....drat! Oh well, 62 cents is 62 cents!

HH, ya'll!

Coins look a bit rusty & beat up from being stored...
Looks like it could be a fun/renewed project!

Great job, but sounds like some one already hit the area with just picking up the silver coins. can you imagine if were first one to hit the area.

P.S. I LOVE THOSE WHEATIES :)

Treasure "is" where you find it. At first I thought you found all of those in a day's hunt. I thought, wow, 62 wheaties and no silver, what a bummer. Still, 62 is 62.WTG

whew, for a moment there I thought you dug up 62 in a day. That would put me to shame :D

As a set that's worth something.
