60+ Electric Motors......

Well I only have 3 left and I will be done. I Cut open and removed the copper wire from 60 some odd electric motors. :P They where a mix of 1/2 horse and 1 horse motors few bigger ones here and there. Not sure how much weight it is but I have a 50 gallon drum cut in half that is full and 5- five gallon buckets full. I'm going to say around 175-200lbs...( I hope!!!!) Saved all the other parts of the motor also, most of the end caps are solid aluminum. Probably have about 40-50 pounds of that, and about another 600-700 lbs. of casings and innards. Hoping I can make enough to buy some goodies for my motorcycle. I called the scrap yard today and was immediately put on hold when I asked for prices per lb. Seems to be a reoccurring thing around here. Anyways will let y'all know how I do....

I have a large pile of non working electric weed eaters that I need to tear apart. I can't seem to make myself get started on them.

How do you get the windings separated? No problem getting the motors apart, but I play heck trying to get the copper out. Is there a trick to it?
