My neighbor gave me permission to detect his yard. I think it was the site of an old store. Found 6 tokens, 2 wheaties and my first ever half cent.

Also found an interesting piece, not sure what it is but says Opel 1909 with the Opel Coupe on it. Looks like a later collectible maybe part of a key chain, not sure. Any thoughts?

The token in the best shape is this 10 cents Shelmore Oyster Products 1939, also found one that just says H & H

The best find was the 1826 Half Cent

Yep, that’s a passable day right there [emoji23]. Capped Bust half Cent, that is awesome. Any chance you can get some close ups of the cleaned up tokens?

Nice going mbcuce. That 1826 half cent is truly a sweet dig. Congrats to ya man!

I am soooo jealous of your beautiful half cent , you are killing it....keep it up..

Will do. I am working on cleaning them now. Most are complete toast but two I can read Shelmore. They are both aluminum. I'll post pics after I clean them a little better.

Nice classic head half cent. The earlier draped bust half cents are more common

Great finds nice coin
I love tokens those are really cool dont be surprised if your neighbor cuts you off and gets his own detector lol Well done

Killer half cent recovery! :occasion14:

Oh man I would kill for a US half cent. Really great hunt! Congrats

Great finds! It's interesting how 1/2 cents show up so infrequently! I hope to find a few some day!!

Our soil is rough on these tokens but I cleaned the best I could:
Shelmore is aluminum and pretty rough, found 3 of these

H& H cleaned up nice, ended up with 4 of these

One I thought was bland turned out to be a Prospect Hill 50 cent token which is pretty rare from what I read. It is my second one found at two different locations.

That hunt was well worth it! I found a token that doesn't match but I wonder if it's related. There is a H & H Inn in Vancouver, Washington.

I dont think so. We have found several types of tokens around town and they are all from South Carolina oyster canning companies with the exception of Prospect Hill but it was a big local general store. There are a few H & H tokens across the country but I think this one has to be related to Charleston oysters.

Congrats on some awesome finds- that Half Cent is sweet!
