Our detecting season up here in northern MN is drawing to a close. Fortunately we have been blessed with some nice weather this month, which is normally reserved for knee-deep snow and sub-zero temperatures. Global warming? Who knows .. Anyways I had one of my best days this year a couple of wednesdays ago, so I figured I would share it since I just signed-up yesterday, looks like a great website. The house was built around 1915, just a block or so from my own house ... enjoy !

Nice finds. Thanks for sharing with us. Many years ago I found a small silver pocket spill. There is no way to describe the good feeling of picking up silver one coin at a time while hoping it never ends.

Wow that is a awesome spill!!! Huge congrats!!!

Not a bad find. How much effort was put into this task and how much did you get out of it?
Coin value assessment?

Getting permission was easy and I was there for maybe 45 minutes before I found the coin spill. I found 9 silver coins here in two trips .. silver value is only around $21.00 total. It's all about digging the history for me though . . .!

That's a real nice coin spill. Not a bad way to end the season!

Sweet ! HH Rick

Excellent recovery! My best ever was 15 silvers, all 1950's and 60's waiting on some older ones! Keep swinging and welcome to t net!

Congrats on a great silvre recovery! Sounds like a very productive yard that needs a lot more hunting. Good luck on your next hunt (if yesterday's strom didn't snow you in).

Nice finds MN... I've always wanted to hunt some of those abandoned houses in northern MN but I haven't made it up that way since I started detecting. I almost moved to Bigfork 20 years ago and we went inside of a couple of them that were totally gutted but still had early 1900's newspapers on the walls for insulation. I still have them. I'd have to imagine there's some good detecting around some of them.

Great finds, hopefully you'll keep the good luck and find some more there. Congratulations and HH
